Kristi: I will try to do this translation. Patients with genetic diseases don't can use his own stem cells (bone narrow, mesenchymal stem cell, blood cord) because this cells have the same gene defect. Mesenchymal stem cells are muscle cells that have the best competence to make adult muscle cells. In this research they try to correct mesenchymal cells with genetherapy (virus that delivery dystrophin gene to mesenchymal cells in laboratory) and use this cells to treat rats. Instead of delivery the virus vector to all muscle they correct the mesenchymal cell in lab. This mesenchymal cell can go to all muscle and correct the disease. They prove in this article that it's possible to correct the mesenchymal cells. The next step is prove that this cells can migrate to all muscles and correct the gene defect of all muscles.
