I received this e-mail from Robin Sharp (PPUK):
Hi,
Firstly, Sorry to spam everybody like this.
The leader of the opposition in the UK (David Cameron) who (according to the polls) may become the next Prime Minister has a new feature on his website called "Ask David." He says he will answer the top 5 questions. Nick Catlin (of PPUK) has posted a new question for David about whether he will support our request for £20m for exon skipping.
There are very few people voting on the website at the moment - if you can register and vote for this question at the following link we stand a good chance of getting our question answered.

There is a very interesting situation where a lot of political people are looking at this vote. It’s the first time that Ask David has been running and we stand to get a high profile if we do this. In particular the top entry is by a blogger called Guido who is followed by a lot of political commentators and he has raised a question. If we get above him then we will get a very high profile.
David Cameron is a new(ish) member of the All Party DMD Group - but hasn't done much (anything) for us yet. I want to put him under a little pressure because I don’t want him to join the All Party DMD group just to say he’s involved in charity work.
Given Gordon Brown (due to take over from Tony or non-Brits) has just announced he has a son with Cystic Fibrosis and exon skipping may help that then I hope to create a bit of political one-up-man-ship between the two leaders.
The more people vote the higher the profile exon skipping will have. Can you pass this link to various friends and family? If we get enough votes this will REALLY help us get the funding for exon skipping pushed through.
