Dear David,
I have recently read some article about oxidative stress (it's name: Oxidative stress, chronic diseases and muscle waisting, you can find it on Robin Sharp's site) . It said that "NOS catalize oxidation of L-arginine to L-citruline to release NO......NO has potential to negatively impact skeletal muscle..."
Do you think L-Arginine can be harmful for our boys? I give my son this as supplement and I am worried now that maybe it was not best thing.
Thank you in advance.

L-arginine can also act as a labido booster, i've been taking it for a while as i thought it might help with my LGMD , wondered why my labido was quite high , now I know why ...

How much juven does your son take? I am preparing to give this to my son. I will give him 2 packs a day. he weighs 60 pounds. He also has DMD.
If this is a labido enhancer- is there any relationship to how this product and viagra are said to help halt the progression of the DMD disease?

My son use 1 pack each day. Yes, L-arginine and viagra act in the same reaction. I will try to find a scheme.

Scheme:
L-arginine----------- NOS------------> NO
NO GTP-------------------------------------> GMPc (cause the effects of NO) (second messenger) sildenafil GMPc -----------------------------------> inactive
NO = nitric oxide NOS = nitric oxide sintetase L-arginine increase NO; NO increase GMPc Sildenafil reduce inactivation of GMPc
